PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Support Electrical group embedded control systems. Support design and maintenance of new and existing software in electrical subsystems.
  2. Design, maintenance and testing of software for embedded controllers on Bobcat Company products. Using 'C', 'C++' and model based software design.
  3. Determine requirements; implement designs and testing of designs per requirements for Bobcat electrical systems and sub-systems.
  4. Use defect tracking and configuration management tools for managing software work products according the Bobcat Company embedded software development process.
  5. Work with other departmental functions (service, hydraulics, marketing, engineering test, dealers, etc.) in completion of assigned projects.
  6. Write, direct, and analyze results of tests on prototypes and production machines.
  7. Investigate customer complaints, concerns and requests. Work with Service and Marketing groups to improve customer satisfaction of Bobcat Company products.
  8. Work with others in electrical group to continuously improve Bobcat Company software, hardware and electrical systems development processes.

Individual should have some experience with one or more of the following:
  1. Embedded controls software development
  2. Mathworks ( Matlab, Simulink, Stateflow)
  3. C/C++ -Language programming
  4. CAN - J1939 and or CAN Open Protocols
  5. R232/ RS485 serial communications
  6. Schematics / Circuit diagrams
  7. Electrical design
  8. Assembly Language programming
  9. Software Configuration management tools
  10. Defect tracking tools

NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering. Software development experience.
  • Strong computer and project management skills. 1-5 years experience. New grad
  • would be acceptable. CAN (J1939, CAN- Open) - Network experience desirable.
  • Individual should be able to work in a team environment.
