Principle Responsibilities:
- Support Electrical group embedded control systems. Support design
and maintenance of new and existing software in electrical subsystems.
- Design, maintenance and testing of software for embedded
controllers on Bobcat Company products. Using 'C', 'C++' and model
based software design.
- Determine requirements; implement designs and testing of designs
per requirements for Bobcat electrical systems and sub-systems.
- Use defect tracking and configuration management tools for
managing software work products according the Bobcat Company embedded
software development process.
- Work with other departmental functions (service, hydraulics,
marketing, engineering test, dealers, etc.) in completion of assigned
projects.
- Write, direct, and analyze results of tests on prototypes and
production machines.
- Investigate customer complaints, concerns and requests. Work with
Service and Marketing groups to improve customer satisfaction of Bobcat
Company products.
- Work with others in electrical group to continuously improve
Bobcat Company software, hardware and electrical systems development
processes
Individual should have experience with one or more of the following:
- Embedded controls software development
- Mathworks ( Matlab, Simulink, Stateflow)
- C/C++ -Language programming
- CAN - J1939 and or CAN Open Protocols
- R232/ RS485 serial communications
- Schematics / Circuit diagrams
- Electrical design
- Assembly Language programming
- Software Configuration management tools
- Defect tracking tools
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering. Software development experience.
Strong computer and project management skills. 5-7 years experience, but 6-10 years is preferable.
Experience with electrical over hydraulic control systems and human machine interface (HMI). Ability to work in team
environment. Experience with Electro-Hydraulic control systems and software development with
embedded control systems.
